Fred Kirschenmann, professor of philosophy and religion, and distinguished scholar at the Leopold Center at Iowa State; president of the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture (NY), and president of Kirschenmann Family Farms, an organic enterprise in North Dakota,  is tentatively scheduled to be on campus on Friday, March 11 to give a 2:30 lecture entitled “It All Starts With the Soil.”

Kirschenmann is author of a new book called “Cultivating an Ecological Conscience: Essays from a Farmer Philosopher.”
